To my great shame, it’s been over a year since we did a Retro Finds of the Week, so here we go!

Logitech K480 Bluetooth Keyboard
Originally launched in 2015, we have here a Logitech K480. It’s a Bluetooth keyboard that is clearly intended for use with a tablet or smartphone. The keys were a little mushy, and the outer shell was quite yellowed after years of oxidation, but it seemed like it was generally in good shape. One nice thing about this keyboard is that it can be paired to up to three devices and can easily switch between them with the knob above the ESC key.
While you couldn’t beat the $2.99 price tag on this keyboard, the AAA battery compartment (which I forgot to photograph) was full of corrosion. I could have probably gotten the thing working but the time and energy to disassemble everything, clean the battery terminals, and retrobrite the plastic just wasn’t worth it, especially when Logitech is still selling them on Amazon for a reasonable price.

Curtis All-in-One TV/Radio/Lantern
This thing was weird. Not because it had a 5” CRT television, and an AM/FM radio, and a lantern, and a flashlight all-in-one device. That cool, and is actually fairly common… well, maybe not the TV part these days. However, the radio/lantern/charger part is and they are a great thing to have in your emergency kits.
No, this thing just looks really weird… and ugly. I mean, I’ve seen other gadgets like this from the 1980s that had WAY better design than this monstrosity. Needless to say, I didn’t pick this one up. I just wanted to share it with all of you, because if I had to see it, then so did you.

Generic Rotating CD Caddy
Now this was a blast from the past. I’m not sure which decade this particular design would have come from, but I liked it. It’s one of those rotating CD jewel case holders that people used to have on their entertainment centers back in the day. This one had a 48-album capacity, and Goodwill was wanting $8.00 for it. However, I was concerned with its size. I would have used it with some of my software cases, but it was too big for me to leave out on my desk and would take up too much space in my tech closet. So unfortunately, I had to pass on this gem.
Pro Caliber Left-Handed Baseball Glove
Something not at all tech related that I didn’t pass up, however, was this vintage Spalding Pro Caliber left-handed baseball glove. I’m not the biggest sports fan and haven’t been a baseball fanatic since the late 90s, but I do like the game and enjoy playing when I can.
Furthermore, being a southpaw myself, I am always on the lookout for left-handed things, and I was super excited to find this one. It’s pretty stiff and will need a fair bit of attention to get the leather reconditioned, but once it’s done it will make for a wonderful time playing catch with my kids.

Vintage Panasonic EggCam
One last thing that caught my eye on this trip was this weird little webcam. It was just stuck on the shelf next to the alarm clocks and food canisters, but it was the iconic Panasonic EggCam! Specifically, it’s the Panasonic GP-KR001 from mid-1997. For only $3.99 I really should have picked it up and looking back I don’t know why I didn’t. It would have good nicely with my Windows 98 Gateway 500 tower. Oh well.

If you want your own EggCam, check eBay and the other usual places. I did find this 2015 listing on Amazon that appears to be an open box but still new-old stock that gives some insight into what the packaging would have looked like.
Also, I love that the manual has that old Panasonic logo.
