There used to be a cyber cafe here in Liverpool called StarQuest - and C&C tournaments were a regular fixture. I was always utterly demolished of course, but it was a hell of a lot of fun! Such a fantastic series of games!
That sounds like it would have been sweet. Internet Cafes were never really a thing where I grew up, and if they were, they were gone before I was old enough to use one. We used to play them over our home LAN though, and I was always the first one out too.
